Indy Women in Hip-Hop

Join Face A Face for a night celebrating local women in Indy hip-hop. Enjoy performances from Mariah Ivey, Allison Victoria, Victoria Nickerson and more. The event is 9 p.m. to midnight March 16 at State Street Pub. $6.

 

LEGO exposition — Brickworld Indianapolis

The Brickworld Indy LEGO Exposition features spectacular creations all made of LEGO bricks in a 65,000-square-foot space. The exhibit features brick areas, seek and finds and fighting robots. Tickets are $12 and the expo runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 17 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 18 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Elements Financial Blue Ribbon Pavilion, 1202 E. 38th St. Buy tickets at brickworld.com/brickworld-indianapolis.

 

Opening Day: Sports Legends Experience

The Riley Children’s Health Sports Legend Experience is the biggest expansion in 40 years for the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Opening is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 17. The latest addition features 12 outside sports experiences and three indoor exhibits, encompassing physical fitness and awe-inspiring sports history. Buy tickets at childrensmuseum.org.

 

OnyxFest

The seventh annual OnyxFest is Indianapolis’ first and only theater festival dedicated to the stories of African-American playwrights. OnyxFest is part of the IndyFringe Theatre’s commitment to provide support and a performance venue for all local playwrights. Hear the voices of a trio of people who witnessed Robert Kennedy’s speech in 1968 and learn the impact that historic moment had on their lives at 5:30 p.m. Monday at IndyFringe Theatre, 719 E. Whiskey and Wings

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. invites the public to come together for fellowship and to network in downtown Indianapolis. This event begins at 7 p.m. March 16 at Social, 245 McCrea St. Wings from Jordan’s Fish and Chicken are free with $5 cover.

 

Shamrock Beer Run

Start with a toast of a craft brew and then run a 5K, stopping every so often to drink another local beer. Enjoy a pint of your favorite beer at the finish line. The festivities begin at noon March 17 at Military Park. Sign up at www.shamrockbeerrun.com/indianapolis.
