Merging high-end skills with a conceptually driven practice, artist, woodworker, and sculptor Sylvie Rosenthal imbues her objects with layers of meaning that reflect her fascination with human history and our material culture that defines us.

An opening reception will be help from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Rosenthal will deliver the 2020 Phillip Tennant Furniture Artisan Lecture from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19.

The Galleries at Herron, located in Eskenazi Hall on the IUPUI campus, are free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays. The galleries will close Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
