The players at ComedySportz Indianapolis are traveling down Massachusetts Avenue to ring in 2020.  Professional improvisers will present two full-length, competitive ComedySportz matches for all ages at The Basille Theatre housed in the Historic Athenaeum.  Each performance is 90 minutes in length, including party favors, a countdown to midnight (somewhere), and a sparkling grape juice toast.  Edward Trout, Part-Owner for CSz Indianapolis since 1993, said, “Our New Year’s Eve matches have become a tradition for many families in Indianapolis, the surrounding metro area, and beyond!”  Each performance at The Athenaeum can seat up to 400 individuals, so the comedy event for everyone can accommodate families, friends, and groups of all sizes.

Both performances are slated to take place at The Historic Athenaeum, located at 401 East Michigan Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204 on December 31st, 2019.  One begins at 7:30pm, with a countdown to midnight in the Sandwich Islands.  The other begins at 10:30pm with a countdown to midnight in Indianapolis.  Both ComedySportz matches are appropriate for all ages and fun for everyone.  Tickets are $20 for adults or $18 for students and seniors in advance.  Ticket prices increase by $2 for purchase at the door.

The partnership between CSz Indianapolis and The Athenaeum spans back to 2012.  “New Year’s Eve at the Athenaeum is a highlight of the holidays for players and fans alike” Trout.  “Add in the creative suggestions of the audience and the energy of our players, and the result is something unique and magical as we ring in the new year.”
