The Indiana Association of Black Psychologists and The Black Nurses Association of Anderson Indiana have partnered together to provide a FREE Empowerment workshop for adults and youth ages 13+. It will be held November 9, 2019 at the Anderson Impact Center, 630 Nichol Ave., Anderson, IN, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. The workshop will address: Biblical Teachings and Health, Youth Empowerment, Effective Parenting, Depression Management, Stress Management Demonstrations, Spiritual Healing through African Drumming, and much more.

The keynote speakers are nationally renowned Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson, Sr. and Brother Nuri Muhammad. Both have messages of inspiration and empowerment. They will speak at 9:00 am and 11:30 am.

The Breakout Sessions will occur at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. The presenters are experts in their respective fields. Baba Anthony Artis of Amoah's African Drum Works will present on the healing powers of African Drumming. Psychologist Dr. Martha Davis, Dr. Carrie Dixon, Dr. Tramaine Presley and Dr. Dorothy Simpson-Taylor will address: Effective Parenting, Stress and Health, Youth and Mental Wellness, and Suicide.
