Gang summit
Indianapolis will host a second gang prevention and intervention summit in partnership with the Comprehensive Anti-Gang Initiative from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on April 9, at the Community Alliance of the Far Eastside.
The summit will feature experts in the gang prevention field who will discuss the difference between youth rebellion and gang behavior, signs and behaviors of involvement, as well as provide resources available in the community.

Gov. Daniels wins
Oregon Republicans attending the annual Dorchester Conference in Seaside, Ore., say they would vote for Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels as a presidential candidate, while former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin came in third.
Thirty percent say they would vote for Daniels. He was praised for being fiscally conservative, and having “core moral values.”
The Daily Astorian reports that another 23 percent say they would vote for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and 18 percent would vote for Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee garnered 10 percent of the vote in the straw poll.
