The sale, occurring Nov. 6–8, will open the doors of the home, inviting the public to peruse a wide array of items available for purchase. The home will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each of the three days.
The eclectic home, a 26,000-square-foot space made famous by its outlandish appearance and previous owner, has been featured on HGTV’s Extreme Homes and countless national media outlets. Originally built in the 1960s, neighbors’ homes were bought up to construct the fantasy estate, which some have described as “Midwestern Vegas Versailles.” The home’s more unusual features include a grotto with hot tub, numerous gargoyles and dolphin statues out front and near the swimming pool, spiral staircases, abundant round windows, curved decks and a ballroom. The home is covered in stone and marble and stuffed with fireplaces.
The estate sale at this massive residence will take place in the Grand Ballroom, a 7,000-square-foot space packed full of items from the current and previous owners of the home.
