Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) has entered a partnership with the Indianapolis chapter of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA). Officials from both organizations signed the agreement on August 10.
The goal of the partnership is the continue to develop the diversity of IWU’s adult student population, according to IWU officials.
“As part of our continued effort to recognize and value what diversity does to a college education, we have developed a partnership with The National Black MBA Association, Indianapolis chapter,” said David Rose, vice president for enrollment and marketing in Adult Enrollment Services.
IWU will provide academic program information and on-site informational sessions for NBMBAA – Indy members. In addition, IWU will provide a 10-percent discount for all NBMBAA – Indy members for numerous non-residential graduate degree programs. The NBMBAA will share information about IWU’s programs and promote the partnership to members through various channels.
“We are excited, because our partnership with IWU serves as a bridge in the facilitation of access to graduate educational programs, said Rita Rogers, president of the Indianapolis chapter. “Those future programs will lead to the creation of intellectual and economic wealth in the African-American communities in which we live and work.”
The NBMBAA leads in the creation of educational opportunities and economic growth for blacks. Its mission is to provide innovative programs to stimulate intellectual and economic growth; build partnerships with key stakeholders who help facilitate this growth and increase awareness and facilitate access to graduate education programs and career opportunities in a variety of fields.
