The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis sponsors food program

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis announced sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and its policy for providing free and reduced-price meals at no separate charge. Free and reduced-price meals will be provided to participants meeting the approved eligibility criteria. Meals are available to all enrolled participants without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability at the following sites:

  • Keenan-Stahl Unit, 1949 E. Troy Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46203
  • LeGore Unit, 5228 W. Minnesota St., Indianapolis, In 46241
  • Lilly Unit, 810 S. State Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46203
  • Wheeler-Dowe Unit, 2310 E. 30th St., Indianapolis, IN 46218
  • Liberty Park Unit, 8825 E. Raymond St., Indianapolis, IN 46239
  • Eastlawn Wesleyan Church, 3400 N. Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46226
  • Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County, 490 St. Clair St., Mooresville IN 46158

This program, administered by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Indiana Department of Education, Division of School and Community Nutrition Programs gives financial assistance to child care centers so that nutritious meals can be integrated with nonresidential child care services for children.

The goal of the program is to improve the diets of young children and increase the opportunity for children to eat a variety of nutritious foods. The meals and snacks served meet standards established by the United States Department of Agriculture for the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
