What is your perception of the perfect woman? Long hair, beautiful eyes and a voluminous body may be nice to look at, but does it have substance?
What do you attribute to a womanās real worth and why? Society throws at us all these images and characteristics of beauty. But in the end does that really matter?
To some Indianapolis men it certainly does. The site based the questions off the following female qualities: hair color, eye color, vice and education. WhatsYourPrice.com determined how much these men are willing to spend to go on a date with their perception of the āperfect woman.ā
āA manās desire is measured by the amount that he is willing to invest in an opportunity,ā said Brandon Wade, the CEO and founder of WhatsYourPrice.com in a recent interview. āThis is the perfect example of putting your money where your mouth is, as these men date what they desire and have the means necessary to find their perfect woman.ā
Based on the study, Indianapolisā perfect woman is a brunette with hazel eyes, a social drinker who doesnāt smoke and has earned a Masterās degree. Overall, Indianapolisā males are willing to spend an average of $246.70 to go on a first date with the perfect woman.

āI attribute a womanās worth based on what the Bible says. There are words that describe a virtuous woman in the Bible and I attribute that to my own life. Even though the media displays images of what the perfect or ideal woman should look like, I donāt pay too much attention to that because my worth is described in the Bible. At the end of the day beauty fades but our true spirit and happiness wonāt.ā ā Samantha Pounds, Samuel Missionary Baptist Church

āA godly woman is hard to find nowadays, but when you find her, her worth is far above rubies. Women, especially young girls, often get caught up attributing their self worth based on men. Asking themselves, ādoes he like me?ā Am I pretty enough? Am I skinny enough? Am I sexy enough? And if any of those answers to those questions are a ānoā they believe it. Lack of self worth is the main issue plaguing modern women. The key is to see yourself the way God sees you. A godly woman is confident in who she is, and whose she is. Not looking to the world for her value but to God. She is confident, wise, kind, discerning, loving, self-sufficient and God-fearing.ā ā Lea Lillard, Calvary Temple Church.

āA womanās real worth has to do with her passion and purpose. Who is she without her degree, her job or family? Does she love herself? Does she have a relationship with the creator? A woman who knows her worth understands that Godās plans are bigger than hers and she moves through life with grace because she knows that Godās love is sufficient. There isnāt a perfect godly woman but I aim to be the woman after Godās own heart. I will make mistakes but I will be honest with myself, and God and seek forgiveness. As long as I allow God to mold me, I will stay in his will and grow more like him each and everyday.ā ā Jasmine Utterback, Bethel AME Church

āShe is described as āFull of Grace,āĀ which would indicate that she has all the gifts of the Holy Spirit; that she is patient, kind, considerate, gracious, polite, hard-working, generous, thoughtful, conscientious, nurturing, forgiving and striving to do her very best in all that she does as she serves God. Yet in humanity we see so many offenses committed against women ranging from days before and during the Old Testament times when women could not own property or have careers and many were treated worse than livestock to todayās human trafficking, where young girls are sent overseas far from family to become prostitutes. Or consider other religions who force young girls to marry and often become one of many slaves to their husbands and some are murdered at their āmastersā orders (forcing the perfect woman).
Children and young women should be encouraged, mentored and guided toward vocations that allow flexibility so that they become mothers. Their vocations or careers can also be nurtured, should they need to fall back on them.Ā Young ladies desperately need a vocation they can stay connected to during their child rearing years, yet it should not be so overwhelming that the family suffers. Remember that God made woman from a manās rib, not from his feet to be walked on and not from his head to be superior but from his side to be equal, under the arm to be protected and next to the heart to be loved. To paraphrase Paul in his letters to the Corinthians, he states that a wife should be submissive to her husband ā to the extent that the husband submits himself to Christā¦Unfortunately, many times I have seen only the first part of Paulās teaching. It is so important in todayās society that a young man also knows his responsibility to a family, church, community, the world and the future, possibly even his own legacy. If all women modeled themselves after Godās mother and all men imitated Christ it would be a perfect world.ā ā Leslie Handwork, St. George Orthodox Church

āI donāt think there is such a thing as āperfect.ā Most people have this ideal of being this role model image of a perfect person, but I donāt believe anyone can achieve living a perfect life. Everyone makes mistakes and it is OK, just learn from them. It just depends on your personal values and the way you were brought up. I think your belief in God plays a big part in that. I just believe in learning from every life experience and not letting evil temptations rule your life. A life of pursuing things that make you happy, being kind to others and letting go of all negative things are some things I feel make a godly woman. I think one of the most important steps is learning to love yourself first because that builds a foundation and inner strength.āĀ ā Whitney Watt, church visitor

āThere is no perfect woman, however, there are many godly women. When I think of a godly woman, 1 Peter 3:1-6 comes to mind, as a foundation of what a godly woman should be.Ā First of all, when I think of a godly woman, I think of a woman who first and foremost loves the Lord with all her heart and without compromise. Secondly, she is a woman who no matter what allows her life to be an example to those with whom she comes in contact. Third, I see a godly woman as a woman who doesnāt put her focus on her outward appearance, but rather her inner beauty, that being her inner spirit, which is God inspired. While looks can fade, the genuine heart of a woman remains the same. Therefore, I would encourage godly women to remain faithful to Christ, live a life that is Christ-like in all aspects, and possess a godly spirit that will be pleasing in the sight of God.ā ā Stephanie Roberts, Eagle Creek Church of Christ
